MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee Fire Department employee could be charged with a sex crime against another employee as early as Wednesday, according to the Milwaukee County district attorney's office.
Cases like these have put workplace harassment training in the spotlight.
City of Milwaukee leaders last updated their harassment policies in 2011.
Maria Monteagudo who is the city's employee relations director just sent a draft of new policies she wants to add to the books, to the city attorney.
"We wanna make sure that city of Milwaukee employees who have been victims of that type of behavior, make sure the City of Milwaukee is not only going to take it seriously but we're going to investigate," Monteagudo said.
Monteagudo is also hoping to give employees refresher courses on those policies, possibly on an annual basis.
