RACINE — The Racine Police Department is getting into the holiday spirit.

People living in Racine with outstanding parking citations can have late fees forgiven in exchange for a $5 donation to the Racine County Food Bank.

City leaders announced the special Hunger Relief Food Drive on Friday, which will support families in need this holiday season. It's part of the city's "Food for Forgiveness" partnership with Malicki's Piggly Wiggly and the food bank.

The food drive runs from now until December 31st.
