Talk about the ultimate gag gift? The City of Oak Creek is selling used fire hydrants to the public.
The fire hydrants are selling for $100 each (including sales tax) while supplies last. The hydrants weigh about 100 pounds and all working parts have been removed.
The hydrants can be paid for and picked up at the Water and Sewer Utility office at 170 W. Drexel Ave. If interested in purchasing a fire hydrant, the City of Oak Creek asks you call (414) 570-8210 before you arrive to purchase. Please note that utility staff cannot help loading a hydrant into a customer’s vehicle.
