A chunk of ice/snow nearly crushed a Wisconsin man and destroyed his windshield about 4:25 p.m. Feb. 11, according to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle sustained damage on County Highway B north of 730th Avenue in Tainter, police said.

A 1998 Buick was southbound when a large chunk of snow/ice reportedly dislodged from a northbound straight truck. The chunk of snow/ice went through the windshield of the Buick, causing minor injuries to the driver, police said.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for everyone to slow down and take time to clean off your vehicle off prior to traveling on the highways.
