Chinese Lantern Festival at Boerner Botanical Gardens gets extended

UPDATE 10/18 5:20 p.m. -- Due to overwhelming demand, China Lights has been extended until November 6. 

All tickets with the end date of Oct. 30 will be honored through Nov. 6.

“Turnout on weekends has been amazing!” said Shirley Walczak, Director of Boerner Botanical Gardens. “We’re encouraging patrons to enjoy the displays during the week as well.”

HALES CORNERS, Wis. -- As soon as the sun goes down, the Boerner Botanical Gardens will stay bright this October.

"China Lights: Boerner Brighter Than Ever" celebrates Asian culture with 40 "larger-than-life" sculpture lantern displays, stage performances featuring folk-culture entertainment and activities, and also a cultural marketplace.

This festival is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. until October 30. Adults tickets (ages 18-59) are $15, Children/Senior tickets are $10, and children under the age of five are free.
