MILWAUKEE — A local company is taking an innovative approach to a classic beverage.
Central Standard Craft Distillery has released a new line of "Hard H2O," a low calorie, sugar and carbonation free drink made from a grain-neutral alcohol. When considering the idea, distillery founders Evan Hughes and Pat McQuillan couldn't believe that the idea wasn't explored previously.
“It seemed like such an easy concept that someone should have already done it,” Hughes told Forbes. “We kept wondering, ‘Why is no one else doing this?’"
After months of development, the two decided to partner with their distiller and packing expert to create a spirit based, hard water offered in a variety of flavors.
Available in Berry, Dragonfruit, Mango and Citrus, the hard waters can be purchased in several locations where Central Standard drinks are available. To view the company product locator, click here.
