The Centers for Disease Control tweeted a warning to consumers not to wash raw chicken, and some people took it personally.
Don’t wash your raw chicken! Washing can spread germs from the chicken to other food or utensils in the kitchen. https://t.co/QlFpd1alG3 pic.twitter.com/bLB1ofcuh7

The CDC says the reasoning behind not washing chicken is that it can spread germs from the raw meat to other food and kitchen utensils.
Twitter users, however, are repulsed by this idea.
📢📢📢 Anyone who does not wash their chicken is just nasty
