BROOKFIELD -- After much anticipation, the new Casablanca in Brookfield is officially up and running.
The Milwaukee Business Journal reports the Middle Eastern restaurant has spent the past few years in development and was even scheduled to open in May 2017 -- but the blueprints to transform the original building unto Casablanca evolved several times during the process.
Owner Al Musa told the Milwaukee Business Journal that the additions such as a rooftop patio were essential.
"It's better to do it right the first time than have any regrets in the future," Musa said.
The new location will have all the same menu items, entertainment and hookah options as the original Brady St. location, it will also include a new weekend brunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as feature DJs and live music.
The new location will also be larger than its predecessor, which will allow it to accommodate larger private parties and corporate events according to Musa.
Casablanca in Brookfield had a soft opening Thursday and will have it's grand opening June 28.
