Carroll goes after Midwest conference leader saint Norbert tomorrow.
The team got a huge boost from Rice Lake native Ben Widdes hitting a buzzer beating three-pointer earlier this season.
"Obviously I've had some good teams over the years at Rice Lake but I mean here it's awesome," he said. "Great group of guys again. They love to work hard. You just really can't ask for much more than that really."
Widdes' coach, Paul Combs, said he has been a team leader the whole season.
"Ben is a perfect example. He's been really our consummate leader the entire season at the point guard," Combs said. "He gets more satisfaction from passing than he does scoring. When a young man walks in at 18-years-old and has the type of work ethic he has, it's very contagious to everybody. Even the returners."
