BROWN DEER — School District of Brown Deer Superintendent Dr. Deb Kerr addressed the racial slur used at a high school football game two weeks ago.

"White football players from another school used the 'N' word directed at our quarterback and other students of color," said Dr. Kerr. "The white referees were non-responsive and complacent."

Though the administrator and coach from the opposing team apologized, Dr. Kerr wants the person who said the racial slur to apologize.

Dr. Kerr addressed white privilege, marginalization and the trauma students go through when they are exposed to this kind of behavior. She aims to hold districts accountable for their students
