Out of nearly 1,300 U.S. cities with a population between 25,000 and 100,000, Brookfield was just named one of the very best.

Personal finance website WalletHub gave Brookfield the #5 spot. Westfield, Indiana, Princeton, New Jersey, and Leawood, Kansas made up the top three overall.

To create its rankings, WalletHub evaluated 30 metrics, including important factors like housing costs, quality of schools, and number of restaurants per capita. You can see their full methodology here.

Brookfield's biggest strengths, according to WalletHub, were its Education and Health rank (#9), along with Affordability (#47).

Several other Wisconsin cities also did well on the list, including Menomonee Falls, Appleton, New Berlin, and West Bend.
