MILWAUKEE -- The Tony Award-winning musical that swept through popular culture like a wildfire last summer will be coming to Milwaukee, Marcus Center President and CEO Paul Mathews confirmed Tuesday, according to TODAY'S TMJ4 partner the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Though Mathews could not confirm when the show will arrive or how long it will be in Milwaukee, the Business Journal reports he did say "I can confirm that it will come to Milwaukee...But I can't say anything else."

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts regularly hosts touring Broadway productions in its "Broadway at the Marcus Center" series.

The hip hop-inspired musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton won several Tony Awards last year and remains notorious for its incredibly-difficult-to-acquire tickets.

Original cast member Leslie Odom, Jr. will perform with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra next year.
