MOUNT PLEASANT, Wisc. -- Two people are in custody following a break-in at a Racine car dealership Friday morning that led to a chase into Milwaukee County.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. at Racine Hyundai on Washington Avenue in Mount Pleasant.

Two cleaning crew employees told Mount Pleasant Police that two men broke into the building while they hid in the back.

When officers arrived on the scene, some of the suspects jumped into a getaway vehicle, a Dodge minivan.

One of the suspects left behind was taken into custody. Police say he had a set of keys from the dealership, a screwdriver, and was attempting to steal a vehicle.

Officers chased the minivan west on STH 20 and eventually ended up on I-94 toward Milwaukee.

Police ended their pursuit at Drexel Avenue, but the minivan -- which was stolen Thursday night near Marquette University -- was found abandoned near W. Howard Avenue and S. 2nd in Milwaukee.
