May 22nd through May 30th is Sherwin-Williams' National Painting Week.

The company uses the week to spruce up areas that may not have the means or resources to get a makeover.

Eight Milwaukee-area Sherwin-Williams employees recently took time out of their day to paint the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee near 24th St. & Rogers Ave.

"Sherwin-Williams is a company that's really about giving back," said Justin Peare of Sherwin-Williams. "Working with the Boys & Girls Club on a national level is something that really means a lot to us, and we're happy to be a part of it."

Sherwin-Williams has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club for the past two years.

"The kids know that not only the Boys & Girls Club is a great supporter of them and the spaces they have fun in and engage in, but the community is as well," said club manager Dominica Johnson Tirado.

The adults love the reaction from the kids when they see their newly-painted space.

"It's exciting," Johnson Tirado said. "Just the little smiles, the 'Oh my gosh Ms. Dominica, we got that?' 'Yes! We did!' It's awesome."
