MILWAUKEE – The human remains found floating in the Mitchell Park lagoon Sunday evening have been tentatively identified as a 47-year-old man who was reported missing in August 2016, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner said Wednesday.
The Medical Examiner is now currently confirming his identification through DNA testing.
Fire officials said they received a report of body in the water on November 5. A witness told TODAY’S TMJ4 he was walking his dog when he spotted something in the water.
He says he called 911 when he discovered the body, which he described as skeletal remains.
The Medical Examiner’s Office says they will not release any other details until the indentify has been positively confirmed.
