RACINE COUNTY – The Racine County Sheriff’s Office have identified the body recovered from Lake Michigan’s shoreline Sunday as 48-year-old Christopher J. Melik of Waupaca, Wisconsin.
On Sunday, a citizen reported a body in Lake Michigan just south of Meyer Park around 2 p.m. First Responders removed the body from the water and immediately determined Melik was deceased.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says their investigation is ongoing but do not believe that Melik’s death is suspicious in nature at this time.
