RACINE COUNTY — Body camera video shows a traffic stop involving Packers linebacker Za'Darius Smith. He was ticketed for speeding and having marijuana blunts and cartridges in September.
The Racine County Sheriff's Office says they pulled over Packers linebacker Za'Darius Smith back in September for speeding in a construction zone. Following a search of the vehicle, Smith was cited for possession of marijuana or synthetic marijuana as well as speeding.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Smith was clocked going 81 mph in a 60 mph construction zone. Smith then told the deputy he would take responsibility for the marijuana and was ticketed.
The Packers told us they are aware of the stop and had no further comment. Smith has apologized since the incident.
