A 32-year-old Beloit man has been arrested for OWI and fleeing an officer after being found passed out at the wheel with drugs in plain view.

According to Janesville Police, they responded to the scene at N. Wright Road and Greenwood Drive after reports of a subject passed out behind the wheel in traffic.

Police say the vehicle was still in drive and the suspect was pushing the brake with marijuana in plain view. Officers say it was clear the suspect was "extremely impaired by alcohol or drugs."

Upon waking up, the man fled officers, eventually crashing into a house near Castlemoor Drive and Huntinghorne Drive. He then tried to run from the scene.

The suspect was arrested for first-offense OWI, fleeing an officer, obstructing and other traffic violations. He was held at the Rock County Jail on a probation warrant.
