Beloit high school teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student

BELOIT -- The City of Beloit Police Department is investigating a report of possible sexual assault of a student at Beloit Memorial High School.

According to a news release, a 53-year-old teacher was arrested Tuesday afternoon for sexual assault of a student.

The school district has said that the case is ongoing and that no other details are available at this time.

The Rock County District Attorney's Office will be reviewing the arrest.
