BEAVER DAM — The Beaver Dam Police Department is warning residents of a potential fundraising scam.
According to a Facebook post, residents have been getting phone calls from people pretending to be the Beaver Dam Police and asking for donations for the department.
The number that commonly shows up on caller ID is 920-887-4600 or is similar.
BDPD says it will never ask for donations over the phone. If someone asks, simply hang up the phone.
