Beaver Dam armed robber gets 9 years for stealing $111 in crack-fueled robbery

BEAVER DAM -- A Beaver Dam man added nine years to his prison stay after he was found guilty of armed robbery he says he did to get more crack cocaine.

Last March, at a Marcos Pizza on Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, 35-year-old Kyle Rach held up the restaurant and demanded money from the cash register.

Rach was arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison, with an additional nine years of extended supervision after threatening an employee and robbing the establishment. 

According to the news release, Rach left Marcos Pizza with a total of $111. 

Rach also admitted to being on a crack cocaine binge prior to and during the robbery. He was robbing the pizza place in order to purchase more crack cocaine. 

Rach's criminal record spans over as 20-year period, including seven burglaries. He was released from prison for a prior prison sentence just 28 days prior to the Marco's Pizza robbery.
