A campus-wide alert was issued at UW-Madison after a violent act was caught on camera.
The video showed a group of people attacking a student outside of a dorm on campus.
Police say the victim and his attackers were basically strangers and the fight outside the dorm was a continuation of a dispute that started in a bar.
Another student at UW-Madison recorded the incident from inside her dorm.
Other students are on edge after the video and the campus alert.
"We've gotten crime warnings before, it's always something not near us, once you get one that says it's outside one of your dorms, it's just a little more real," said student Abby Rudd.
The attackers have since come forward according to police.
No charges have been filed.
