At least one person is dead in a car wreck on Milwaukee's south side.

Police were called to an accident at South 13th Street and Bolivar Avenue.

Police said in a news release the crash happened around 3:35 p.m. Monday. A Chevy SUV reportedly hit a cement truck, and a passenger, a 16-year-old girl, died at the scene. The 18-year-old male driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Speed appears to be a factor in this crash, police said.

The story is developing and we will be updating it as more information is available.
