HARTFORD -- A student who halted school early over a threatening post to social media was found in a forest with two rifles.

A Hartford Police sergeant tells us the threatening photo posted to social media mentioned specific students and entire school.

Sheboygan County deputies found the 19-year-old student in the Kettle Moraine Forest with two rifles.

"It's one of those things that every parent kind of dreads because of what has happened at other high schools," said Steve Koch, Hartford Parent.

"I had heard rumors about someone with guns. I didn't think much of it, I didn't want to get myself worked up overwhelmed and scared," said Connor Koch, Hartford High School Senior.

What is more unnerving for police is when they learned the 19-year-old posted similar threats in the past. Police call it a reminder for everyone to say something early.

Police expect to wrap up their investigation soon, to refer charges to the district attorney. The suspect's name has not been released.
