WAUWATOSA — Amazon.com has confirmed that they will be taking over part of JCPenney's former Wauwatosa warehouse, according to our news partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal.

This new Amazon center will be able to make deliveries to homes and businesses within a 45-minute drive. This new hub is one of five recently established hubs here in southeast Wisconsin.

Wauwatosa’s Plan Commission has already approved Amazon's acquisition of the warehouse, however it is still pending approval from the full common council.

The new Wauwatosa facility could bring hundreds of jobs to the Wauwatosa community, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The warehouse is located near West Burleigh Street and Interstate 41 in Wauwatosa.
