***UPDATE: All lanes are now back open***
The Milwaukee County Sheriff is reporting that all lanes, east and westbound, of I-794 are blocked due to a "utility emergency."
I-794 east and westbound are closed at the Marquette Interchange and the Lake Interchange. The closures were first reported about 6:30 a.m.
We Energies says the utility emergency is due to a steam system outage after heavy rains caused flooding in parts of the steam system downtown.
The sheriff's office estimates the closures will last about two hours.
