Former alderman says trial postponed for teen accused of killing ex-girlfriend due to tampering

The trial for a teenage boy accused of killing his ex-girlfriend has been postponed after a former alderman says he was tampering with the jury process.

Martice Fuller, 16, is accused in the murder 15-year-old Kaylie Juga. Juga and her mother were both shot in their home May 9.

Kevin Mathewson says Fuller was contacting friends and family from jail over the weekend, asking them to contact jury members and they agreed.

Fuller's trial has now been postponed until May 11, as the search for a new jury is underway.

Fuller is charged with 1st degree intentional homicide - use of a dangerous weapon, attempt 1st degree intentional homicide- use of a dangerous weapon and burglary - armed with dangerous weapon.
