SHEBOYGAN -- A 9-year old girl that was missing from Sheboygan has been found safe with a family member.
Michele McKinney had been missing since 6:30 p.m. Thursday when police said she became upset and left a group home that she was staying at.
Police officers and firefighters went door to door Friday morning in the area of 8th and Kentucky, where she was last seen.
Sheboygan Police Captain Kurt Brasser said Michele was located around 11 a.m.
Brasser did not elaborate on where McKinney was but said police would work to provide her with any needed social services.
He estimated more than 12 patrol officers were searching for McKinney, along with police investigators, firefighters and employees of the city's Public Works and Transit departments.
