An 86-year-old man is in critical condition for smoke inhalation after his home in the Town of Lisbon went up in flames Tuesday night.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office responded to the home near Good Hope Road and Stonefield Drive fully engulfed in flames.
Lisbon Fire Department then entered the home and located an 86-year-old man in the bedroom. Responders transported the man to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
A sheriff's deputy also was treated and released from the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.
Twelve fire departments assisted at the scene.
