MILWAUKEE -- A woman was struck and killed while crossing the street in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at approximately 11:35 a.m. at the intersection of Howell and Lincoln avenues.
Milwaukee police said the 83-year-old woman was struck by a Dodge Ram truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 59-year-old man from Milwaukee, stopped and is cooperating with police.
Officials said they are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
