MILWAUKEE -- It was the perfect Sunday for more than 2,000 people to take part in the 37th Annual Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon.
One of the athletes was 77 years old, and finished without taking a single step.
It was with the help of a handcycle.
Father Dale Grubba found a unique switch to handcycling after running 63 marathons. This includes 11 in Boston and 18 in New York.
The Princeton, Wisconsin Catholic Priest found running to be a great outlet.
He tried his first marathon when he turned 40 and never quit. He hopes it serves as inspiration.
"I don't think about my age if i thought about my age, I probably wouldn't be able to do it you know. I never thought much about my age," said Father Dale Grubba, Milwaukee Lakefront Marathoner.
The first place male runner was from Madison with a time of 02:31:47.
The top female runner was from Shorewood. Jenny Zwagerman finished in less than three hours.
