TOWN OF BROOKFIELD -- A 77-year-old man was arrested trying to harm others for the second time in less than four months.

Hubert Smith is facing charges of battery, bail jumping, and disorderly conduct.

The Town of Brookfield Police says Monday night at the Extended Stay America, where the suspect was a guest for months, Smith grabbed the hotel manager by the neck.

The employee was knocking on a door next to Smith's when he came out and accused the manager of "screwing" with him.  The victim pushed Smith off and locked himself in a nearby room until police arrived.

Smith was charged with three counts of attempted murder in October.  He was out of jail on bond and scheduled to appear in court next week.
