7-year-old boy shot in car on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was shot inside a car on Milwaukee's north side Friday, police say.

 

Police investigating at 39th & Custer where they tell us a 7 yo was shot in a car. Neighbors tell us there are a lot of kids in this neighborhood.

It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Friday in the 5400 block of N. 39th St. Police say an unknown female suspect fired a gunshot into a vehicle - that's when the 7-year-old was struck.

Police say the boy is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. They continue to seek a suspect.
