WATERFORD -- Highway 83 near County L was shut down for an hour and a half Saturday morning after a motorcycle crash.
A woman driving southbound on Highway 83 told police a group of motorcycle drivers were coming up quickly behind her when one of them clipped her vehicle.
The impact sent the motorcycle and its driver careening into another group of motorcyclists going northbound.
Five motorcyclists were taken to the hospital, one via helicopter, and are expected to be OK.
Officials said that none of the motorcyclists had helmets on at the time of the accident.
