OCONOMOWOC — A 36-year-old man is in critical condition after he nearly drowned near Fowler Lake.
Police say the man was swimming in a channel near the dam by Fowler Lake and Lac LaBelle around 9:18 p.m. when he went missing.
Officials responded to the scene and deployed dive teams to search for the man. Around 10:05 p.m., teams found the man and removed him from the water.
Paramedics resuscitated the man and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition. Police didn't release any further information on his condition.
The Western Lake Fire District and dive team, city of Oconomowoc Police, and the Town of Delafield Dive Team assisted in the rescue.
