MILWAUKEE — Palermo's pizza delivered 300 pizzas to the Riverwest Food Pantry Saturday morning, with the expectation of doing it again next week.

Palermo's, the maker of frozen pizza brand Screamin's Sicilian, teamed up with Johnsonville to donate new pepper and onion pizzas to the pantry.

“We wanted to be a part of giving back and thought it would be a fun treat to include a newly launched pizza in food distributions. Pizza is a convenience meal but also an indulgence that may not be available to everyone," said Nick Fallucca, Chief Product & Innovation Officer for Palermo Villa, Inc. who also is an acting board member for the pantry.

According to a spokesperson from Palermo's, the team plans to return to Riverwest Food Pantry next weekend to donate an additional 300 pizzas.

If you are in need, the Riverwest Food Pantry is distributing food on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at their St. Casimir location, 924 East Clark Street in Milwaukee.

“You don’t need to worry about proving your income. You don’t need to worry about ‘if I am in need enough’ to come to the Riverwest Food Pantry. Everyone is welcome," said Vincent Noth, Executive Director of the Riverwest Food Pantry.
