The Wisconsin Humane Society is now caring for 30 rabbits after the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office found them during an animal welfare check on Wednesday.
They were rescued "from horrible conditions", according to a post the society's Facebook page.
If anyone is interested in helping with their care, the humane society is accepting donations of of rabbit water bottles, Timothy hay, rabbit pellets and aspen bedding. Monetary contributions can be submitted here.
The sheriff's office said their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
