BROWN DEER -- Three teenagers are in custody after leading police on a chase through Brown Deer Friday afternoon.

Officers responded at approximately 1:15 p.m. to the scene of a hit and run in the 8200 block of North 60th St.

Brown Deer police said the suspect's vehicle was later located, but fled -- striking several curbs and medians in the process.

The vehicle eventually became disabled in the 10500 block of West Brown Deer Rd. One teenager stayed inside the vehicle and two others ran.

One was later located hiding in thick brush. The other was rescued from the Little Menomonee River after officers heard him yelling that he could not swim.

There were no injuries during this incident.
