HARTFORD — A 28-year-old Hartford man led police on a pursuit Saturday, which resulted in a crash injuring two.

Police say the pursuit began around 7:10 a.m. Saturday. A Hartford officer noticed the man driving fast and pulled out behind him. The man then increased his speed.

The police officer turned on his lights and siren, which caused the 28-year-old to drive even faster, leading the officer on a police pursuit.

During the pursuit, the suspect nearly struck another car, drove into the ditch and back onto the road, and ended up crashing into another vehicle.

The suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital after police arrested him. The victim in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was released from the scene.

Police are still investigating what caused the suspect to flee from the police, but they said impairment may be a factor.
