The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at 5:17 p.m. Thursday on the 2500 block of N. 38th Street, according to a written statement from the department.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the victim, a 25-year-old male from Milwaukee suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died on scene from his injury despite the life saving efforts of Milwaukee Police and Fire personnel, officials said.
An investigation is underway.
