Facebook Live video leads Milwaukee Police to drug dealing arrest

MILWAUKEE— Police arrested a 20-year-old alleged drug dealer thanks to a recording he made on Facebook Live.

Jeffery Kirk has been criminally charged after a Milwaukee police officer received the 40-minute Facebook Live video of him selling drugs out of a vehicle. 

Kirk is facing the following charges:

  •  4 counts of manufacture/deliver THC
  •  4 counts of possession of a firearm by adjudicated delinquent

According to the criminal complaint, police received the video on September 10.  The video shows Kirk driving around the City of Milwaukee selling drugs and possessing guns. Kirk can be seen interacting with people who are posting on Facebook Live, telling them to call his phone and answering phone messages in which he takes orders for marijuana.

Investigators arrested Kirk nearly a month later when he was leaving someone’s house. After the arrest, authorities performed a consent search of the room Kirk’s room and found more weapons, drugs and $1,400 in cash.

Kirk admitted to investigators that it was him in the video and that he did possess two firearms which he bought off the street.
