A 2-year-old is recovering from a non-fatal injury after police say he got a hold of a gun and shot himself.
Milwaukee police said the shooting happened on Tuesday, June 2 but it wasn't reported until Thursday, June 4 when the child was taken to a local hospital. Police said the child found a gun at a home on N. Lovers Lane Road and shot himself.
The child suffered a non-life threatening injury.
A 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested in connection to the incident.
No other details were released.
