2 people carjacked on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were arrested after two carjackings on Milwaukee's south side on Tuesday, August 23.

The first incident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. near Burrell Street and Rosedale Avenue.

Milwaukee police said the suspects approached a 37-year-old man, pointed a gun at him and demanded his car.

The victim complied and the teens took off in his a 2012 Honda CRV. 

The second incident happened at approximately 9:50 p.m. near Homer Street and Kinnickinnic Avenue.

Milwaukee police said the same suspects approached a 20-year-old woman, pointed a gun at her and demanded her car. The victim complied and the teens took off in her 2005 Ford Escape.

A short time later, police officers located the vehicles parked near Burrell Street and Lincoln Avenue.

The suspects tried to run, but they were caught and arrested.

Officials said the 15-year-old suspect had a BB gun with him.
