MILWAUKEE — A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after he struck a bus shelter and pole during an incident on Sunday.
Police say a 44-year-old man was driving in the 1200 block of W. Oklahoma Avenue around 2:40 a.m. Sunday when he turned in front of the 19-year-old who was going straight.
The 44-year-old struck the teen, causing the teen to crash into a bus shelter and a pole. The 19-year-old sustained serious injuries and police say he was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition. '
The 44-year-old was not injured but was arrested following the incident. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the following days, the Milwaukee Police Department said in a press release Sunday.
