MILWAUKEE -- A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Saturday around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of 68th and Hope.
The victim has been identified as Christopher O. Beamon. Police say Beamon was shot during an apparent fight. He was transported to an area hospital but later died from his injuries.
Police continue to investigate a motive and search for the suspect(s) involved.
Beamon would have turned 18 on Sunday.
