MILWAUKEE -- A 15-year-old girl was arrested after she attempted to start a Milwaukee Police squad car on fire Saturday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. -- in the 5300 block of N. Long Inland Drive.
According to police, the teen tried to start a squad car on fire as the officers were inside a home nearby on an assignment.
Neighbors called 911 when they observed smoke from the vehicle. Police responded and the teen was taken into custody.
"It was crazy, I never saw anything like it," a neighbor said. "It was like in flames, it was real big. I thought the car was going to blow up."
Police say the vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear wheel wells.
No one was injured.
