JEFFERSON COUNTY -- A 14-year-old boy was killed in a snowmobile accident in Jefferson County Saturday evening.
The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. in the township of Jefferson.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the 14-year-old was traveling on a snowmobile trail in the area of CTH A/Advent Road and failed to negotiate a curve and went off the trail.
The Sheriff’s Office says fellow riders assisted in life-saving measures until Emergency personnel arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, those life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the DNR, and the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing to investigate the crash.
