Milwaukee Police responded to a 12-year-old struck by gunfire at an apartment complex Tuesday morning on the south side.
According to a police report, he child was asleep in his room when the gunfire came through a wall from an adjoining apartment around 2:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of W. National Ave.
The child was taken to a local hospital by family members and is currently in good condition.
What led to the shooting remains under investigation.
