An 11-year-old girl is recovering from a gunshot wound after being struck by gunfire late Tuesday evening.
Milwaukee Police say that a suspect intentionally fired multiple gunshots into the home in the 2900 block of N. 44th street. One of the shots broke through a window and hit the child.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still being investigated.
The girl was treated on scene and taken to a local hospital.
