One person was taken to the hospital after crashing while fleeing from police.
West Allis police said officers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a car just after 2 a.m. Thursday. The driver of the car failed to stop and fled, police said.
The driver lost control of the car and crashed in the 6000 block of W. National Avenue.
The driver suffered "significant injuries" and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and the case remains under investigation.
No other details were released.
